Drinking enough water throughout the day can help with digestion, regulating body temperature, and maintaining bodily functions. The Institute of Medicine recommends that men should drink about 3.7 liters (125 ounces) of water per day, while women should drink about 2.7 liters (91 ounces) of water per day.
